Taiwan is promoting its southern destinations with a new campaign that is set to provide more than NT$10 million (US$330,000) in travel incentives. The Siraya National Scenic Area Administration has joined up with EVA Air, Klook and international content creators to help boost the appeal of four areas — the Southwest Coast, Siraya, Maolin and Dapeng Bay — through discounts on travel and attractions, coastal activities and cultural experiences for overseas visitors who will be coming to the region.

Southern Taiwan Tourism Campaign Highlights Four Scenic Regions

At the centre of the campaign is the Southern Tourism Union, which connects the tourism offerings of four National Scenic Area Administrations: Southwest Coast, Siraya, Maolin and Dapeng Bay. By bringing these destinations together, the initiative aims to introduce international travellers to a wider selection of experiences beyond Taiwan’s established urban attractions. The campaign caters to different holiday preferences, from romantic escapes and outdoor adventures to traditional craft activities and cultural exploration. It also highlights the region’s distinctive landscapes, local communities and heritage attractions, creating opportunities for visitors to discover several destinations during a single journey.

Coastal Landscapes and Cultural Experiences Offer New Reasons to Visit

Southern Taiwan’s natural scenery forms a major part of the promotional campaign. International visitors can explore picturesque salt fields, coastal lagoons and cycling routes while discovering the region’s distinctive seaside environment. Inland, Zengwen Reservoir offers opportunities for relaxing boat excursions surrounded by scenic landscapes. Travellers interested in cultural experiences can also visit Maolin, where indigenous traditions and mountain scenery provide a different perspective on Taiwan’s heritage. Hands-on craft workshops, regional cuisine and cultural landmarks further expand the range of activities available, allowing holidaymakers to combine sightseeing with meaningful encounters with local traditions.

EVA Air and Travel Platforms Introduce Exclusive Visitor Benefits

To make independent travel more accessible and appealing, the campaign includes partnerships with EVA Air and online booking platforms such as Klook. Eligible international travellers can benefit from promotional codes, direct reductions on selected local tours and complimentary attraction vouchers linked to qualifying flight-and-hotel packages. These incentives are designed to help visitors organise their journeys while discovering experiences across the participating scenic areas. The combined promotional benefits are valued at more than NT$10 million, although individual offers and eligibility conditions may vary depending on the booking platform, travel product and promotional arrangements.

Tourism Partnerships Aim to Strengthen Southern Taiwan’s International Appeal

The collaboration also involves international content creators, who will help introduce southern Taiwan’s destinations and travel experiences to overseas audiences. By combining destination promotion with airline partnerships and digital booking services, the initiative seeks to increase international awareness of the region and support tourism businesses across its participating scenic areas. The campaign places particular emphasis on independent travellers seeking flexible itineraries, local experiences and convenient booking options. With coastal attractions, mountain landscapes, cultural activities and regional food experiences available across the four scenic areas, southern Taiwan is positioning itself as an appealing choice for international visitors planning their next holiday.
