Shiji has revealed that Grupo Baleine has implemented Daylight PMS in order to enhance the management of its hotel operations. This begins with the implementation of the service at the Roma Nueve Dos Hotel Boutique in Mexico City on July 21, 2026. As an innovative technology service, Daylight PMS will allow Grupo Baleine’s collection of boutique hotels to manage reservations, room and guest data operations, and various guest services within a single and more integrated technology platform. This will in turn enable the Group to offer its guests enhanced levels of personalized luxury service and enhanced technology.
Grupo Baleine operates a portfolio of nine properties, with Roma Nueve Dos representing its first hotel in Mexico City. The 11-room boutique hotel targets the luxury segment and reflects the group’s commitment to creating highly customised guest experiences.

As the group planned its future expansion, it looked for a technology solution that could support more than basic reservation and front-desk functions offered by its previous property management system. Daylight PMS enables Grupo Baleine to manage room inventory, reservations, guest profiles, corporate accounts and travel agency information through a connected platform. This allows the group to create detailed guest histories and use valuable insights to deliver more personalised services across its growing hospitality portfolio.
Shiji, a global hospitality technology provider, has announced that Grupo Baleine has chosen Daylight PMS to strengthen its hotel operations, starting with the successful launch at Roma Nueve Dos Hotel Boutique in Mexico City on July 21, 2026. “Grupo Baleine represents the new generation of luxury hospitality groups that understand technology should enable great service, not get in the way of it,” said Alejandra Pueblita, Country Manager at Shiji Americas. “With Daylight PMS, the team is creating a scalable technology foundation centered around the guest, giving its properties the tools to better understand their guests, connect operations and deliver the personalized experiences that define exceptional boutique hospitality. We’re excited to support Grupo Baleine as it continues to grow.”
Daylight PMS supports Grupo Baleine’s ambition to build a consistent technology framework that can be implemented across Roma Nueve Dos and future properties within its growing portfolio. The group prioritised seamless integration between hotel systems, improved access to operational data, enhanced pre-arrival services and digital check-in capabilities as key elements of its technology roadmap. By creating a standardised digital environment, Grupo Baleine aims to develop efficient and repeatable operational processes that can support long-term expansion while maintaining a high level of guest service across its hotels.

“We are a young company with a young, proactive team that is constantly looking to innovate,” said Daniel Espinosa, Co-CEO at Grupo Baleine. “Our vision is to become the best boutique hotel group in Mexico and, over time, expand into the United States and other Latin American countries. Technology is an important part of that vision because it allows us to build better processes, scale the business and give better service to both our guests and our teams.”
The implementation of Daylight PMS at Roma Nueve Dos was completed successfully through strong cooperation between Grupo Baleine and Shiji’s implementation and integration specialists. Hotel teams actively participated throughout the deployment process, gaining valuable insight into how the platform could improve daily operations, simplify workflows and enhance efficiency. The system also creates a stronger foundation for automated reporting and provides hotel teams with faster access to important operational data.
For Grupo Baleine, the strategic goal is to use technology as a tool that empowers employees to deliver the personalised attention and service standards expected in the luxury hospitality sector. By placing guest profiles and operational insights at the heart of its operations, Daylight PMS enables the group to better understand guest preferences, create more consistent experiences and support future portfolio expansion.
