SriLankan Airlines has diligently attended to the travel needs of all 217 passengers scheduled to fly to Incheon, South Korea, on March 19, 2024, aboard UL 470. Unfortunately, the flight faced an unexpected delay of approximately 13 hours due to technical issues.
Out of the total passengers, 117 opted to continue their journey on the rescheduled flight, which departed for Incheon, South Korea, at 07:23hrs on March 20, 2024, once the aircraft received clearance.
The remaining 100 passengers, who were traveling for work purposes, have been successfully rebooked to travel on Sunday, March 24, 2024. This decision was made in coordination with the Human Resources Development Service of Korea (HRD Korea) and the Sri Lanka Bureau of Foreign Employment, ensuring that the delay does not impact their employment arrangements in South Korea.
SriLankan Airlines sincerely apologizes for any inconvenience caused to its passengers due to the delay of flight UL 470 on March 19, 2024.
