Step into the WTM Africa 2024 Content Programme

WTM Africa 2024 will take place from April 10th to 12th, 2024, in the vibrant city of Cape Town.
The 10th-anniversary program of WTM Africa will highlight discussion-based ‘Brain Box’ sessions designed to foster collaboration and networking.
Content sessions will be led and facilitated by global experts, emphasizing tourism news, trends, and business expansion.

“2024 is a milestone growth year for our industry and WTM Africa, as we mark a decade of hosting Africa’s top B2B inbound and outbound tourism trade event. We wanted our content programme to champion this, which is why we’ve worked hard in raising the bar in what we offer and how,” says Olivia Gradidge, Marketing Manager, Africa Travel Week.

The current edition of the event highlights numerous sought-after industry and business themes, encompassing responsible tourism, MICE and corporate travel, travel technology and artificial intelligence (AI), social media marketing, inclusivity, and sports tourism. Moreover, the newest Africa Travel Week Trends Report will be unveiled, followed by a panel discussion on Friday, April 12th, at 13:30 in the Spotlight Theatre.

Furthermore, alongside presentations and panels led by experts, Gradidge emphasizes the launch of their Brain Box concept, intended to stimulate collaborative discussions driven by attendees.

“The theme for this year’s content programme is ‘Step Inside’, which we invite you to do during each Brain Box session. These interactive sessions, encourage tourism players from all levels to come together and join the conversation in finding solutions to shared challenges.”

Emphasizing sustainability as a central theme at WTM Africa, the organizers have meticulously chosen official show partners who are integrated into the content program. One such partner is Fair Trade Tourism, slated to conduct a hands-on Brain Box workshop. This workshop will delve into strategies for responsible destinations and initiatives to penetrate the global marketplace effectively.

“There’s something for everyone in our three-day content programme, but to take full advantage, you will need to register and step inside to join us. You are guaranteed to walk away feeling more informed, connected, and confident to drive your business forward,” Gradidge concludes.
