AIME-2023

The Asia Pacific Incentives and Meetings Event (AIME) 2024 is gearing up to be the most significant edition in a decade, heralding an unparalleled opportunity for professionals in the business events industry to connect and collaborate.

Slated for February at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre in Australia, AIME 2024 is set to welcome an impressive lineup of over 600 buyers from around the globe, alongside 3,500 visitor buyers and 570 exhibitors from diverse business events sectors. This marks an extraordinary 63% increase in exhibitors from the previous year, solidifying AIME‘s status as the leading event in the international business events community in the Asia-Pacific region.

For the first time since the Covid pandemic, Asia Pacific Incentives and Meetings Event (AIME) 2024 will see participation from international destinations such as Fiji, Korea, Macau, USA, Canada, Sri Lanka, Vietnam, India, the Maldives, Italy, Malta, Norway, Monaco, and the UK/Ireland. These newcomers join a roster of returning countries including Japan, New Zealand, Hong Kong, Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand, Singapore, and Africa, bringing the total to 33 countries represented at the event.

AIME Event Director Silke Calder remarked on the event’s significant growth and its pivotal role in the global business events calendar. “Off the back of our incredible 30th anniversary AIME in 2023, this year we return even bigger and better than ever,” Calder stated, highlighting the enthusiasm surrounding the event’s capacity to bring together the business events community in Melbourne.

In a first for AIME, the 2024 event will introduce a dedicated zone for boutique experience makers, showcasing over 20 operators offering bespoke and highly customizable experiences. Additionally, the new DMC Network zone will gather Destination Management Companies from across the globe, reflecting the post-Covid resurgence in travel, as evidenced by the expanded hotel zone, now 50% larger than in 2023.

The Asia Pacific Incentives and Meetings Event (AIME) 2024 will kick off with a Knowledge Program themed “The 4Ps of GLOCALISATION”, featuring keynote speakers Lisa Ronson and Sebastian Terry. This program aims to blend global insights with local nuances, catering to the AIME global community’s desire for a symbiotic relationship between the two.

With the Melbourne Convention Bureau at the helm, Asia Pacific Incentives and Meetings Event (AIME) 2024 is not just an event but a cornerstone in the business events industry’s calendar, likened to the Australian Open’s significance in tennis. As the first international trade show of the business events sector in 2024, Asia Pacific Incentives and Meetings Event (AIME) 2024 is poised to set the tone for the year, underlining Melbourne’s status as Australia’s events capital and fostering connections and knowledge sharing among industry professionals.
