AirAsia X exclusively links Kuala Lumpur to Xi’An with direct flights return

AirAsia X (AAX) declared the revival of its service from Kuala Lumpur to Xi’An, reigniting the connection between Malaysia and this historic Chinese city, renowned as one of the four Great Ancient Capitals of China and the origin point of the Silk Road.

Commencing on April 4, 2024, travelers will have the chance to explore the capital of Shaanxi Province, Xi’An, which stands as the oldest surviving capital of China, housing millennia of Chinese heritage and history. From the Terracotta warriors of China’s inaugural emperor, Qin Shi Huang, to the Great Wild Goose Pagoda and the Muslim Quarter, Xi’An presents a rich array of experiences for diverse interests.

This reinstatement of three weekly flights aligns with AAX’s commitment to fortify its presence in China, encompassing five destinations and complementing the AirAsia Group’s 12th mainland destination. Moreover, this renewed service positions AAX as the exclusive airline providing direct flights between Kuala Lumpur and Xi’An.

To celebrate the service’s resumption, AAX is offering promotional fares from Kuala Lumpur to Xi’An, with all-in* fares starting from RM469 one-way. These promotional fares are available for booking from today until January 28, 2024, for the travel period between April 4, 2024, and October 26, 2024.

Additionally, AirAsia is providing a 20kg** free baggage allowance for guests booking flights between January 22, 2024, and January 31, 2024.
