AirBaltic Winter Expansion: New Routes and increased frequencies across the Baltics

AirBaltic, the Latvian airline, has revealed plans for additional expansion in the Baltic region by introducing three new routes for the upcoming winter season beginning in late October 2024. These routes include Riga to Madeira in Portugal, Tallinn to Kittilä in Finland, and Vilnius to Oslo Torp in Norway.

Martin Gauss, President and CEO of airBaltic: “We are pleased to announce our further expansions from
the Baltics by launching these new routes. Madeira is a unique destination in our network and offers a
fantastic leisure experience with its magnificent scenery and breath-taking nature. Additionally, the new
routes – from Tallinn and Vilnius to Kittilä and Oslo, will serve as a destinations for both leisure and
business travel.”

“When preparing for the upcoming season,we are constantly evaluating the market and are committedto
further improve the connectivity to and from the region. In 2024, we will operate a record high number of
routes from our home bases more than ever before, enhancing the global connectivity, which is generatingsignificant interest and is set to offer passengers a wide range of travel options,” Martin Gauss added.

Tickets are now available for purchase in both Economy and Business Class on the company’s website, www.airbaltic.com. The following destinations will be served starting on the specified dates with the corresponding flight frequencies and prices:

These prices represent the lowest fare (one-way), inclusive of taxes, fees, and service charges, available on www.airBaltic.com, subject to availability.

Additionally, airBaltic will increase flight frequencies on various routes, including from Riga to Stockholm, Prague, Tampere, and more, as well as from Tallinn to Amsterdam, Copenhagen, Gran Canaria, and from Vilnius to Amsterdam, Paris, Berlin, and more. The airline will also continue to operate some seasonal routes during the winter season, such as Riga–Ljubljana, Riga–Baku (November), Tallinn–Malta (November), Vilnius–Lisbon, and Vilnius–Hamburg.

The new routes will be served by Airbus A220-300 aircraft, known for their efficiency and passenger comfort. The A220-300 offers wider seats, larger windows, increased hand luggage space in the cabin, improved lavatories, and overall better performance, fuel efficiency, and convenience for both passengers and staff.

airBaltic operates over 130 routes from Riga, Tallinn, Vilnius, Tampere, and seasonally from Gran Canaria, providing connections to a diverse range of destinations across Europe, the Middle East, North Africa, and the Caucasus region.
