Airbnb introduces Airbnb Rooms

With the introduction of Airbnb Rooms, a completely reimagined version of the original Airbnb, and more than 50 other new features and updates, Airbnb is making significant platform changes.

The goal of Airbnb Rooms is to revive the concept of house sharing by giving visitors an affordable and genuine option to see a city while feeling at home with a Host.

More than 1 million private beds, additional privacy features, and filters have been added to the new category. One of these features is the Host Passport, which allows visitors to get to know their Host before making a reservation.

Airbnb has analysed millions of customer support tickets and social media postings, as well as interacted with hundreds of thousands of guests and Hosts, to enhance the overall guest experience.

Over 50 new features and upgrades have been launched to address community feedback, including total price display, transparent checkout instructions, improved maps, redesigned wishlists, simpler and more affordable monthly stays, and priority customer service on a trip.

Airbnb is enhancing the platform using a design-driven approach, laying out the guest and Host journey from sign-up to checkout and analysing every screen, policy, and interaction with customer care.
