Airlink Relaunches Seasonal ‘Bush & Beach’ Flights Connecting Southern Africa’s Gems

Responding to widespread demand, Airlink, the leading airline in Southern Africa, is set to relaunch its seasonal “bush & beach” flights connecting Kruger Mpumalanga International Airport in Mbombela (formerly known as Nelspruit) and Vilanculos, the renowned coastal resort in Mozambique, as well as Johannesburg. This direct flight service caters to travelers wishing to experience both safari and beach vacations and is scheduled for Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays starting from 1st July 2024 until 5th January 2025. Booking for these flights is currently open. This special route complements Airlink’s ongoing daily direct flights from Johannesburg to Vilanculos.

In reprising this routing option for the coming season, Airlink is responding to broad popular demand from tourists and calls from the travel industry for a convenient schedule that lets visitors make the most of their vacation time and enjoy both uniquely Southern African experiences,” said Airlink CEO and Managing Director, Rodger Foster.

Mbombela serves as the entrance to the renowned Kruger National Park, adjacent private reserves, and stunning landscapes like God’s Window, Bourke’s Luck Potholes, the Three Rondavels, and numerous waterfalls. Meanwhile, Vilanculos is famed for its beautiful beaches, vibrant marine life, diverse dining options, a range of lodging facilities, and markets offering fresh goods, art, and crafts, also acting as the gateway to the Bazaruto Archipelago.

The service will be operated using modern and dependable Embraer Regional Jets. Airlink offers competitive fares, including a 20kg baggage allowance and an additional 15kg for sporting gear at no extra cost. Passengers can enjoy complimentary snacks and beverages onboard, comfortable seating with ample legroom, and the option to choose between aisle or window seats, as Airlink’s aircraft do not feature middle seats.

Furthermore, Airlink’s flight schedule is designed for seamless connections with its domestic and regional flights, as well as with international services offered by its global airline partners.
