This marks an important milestone for both the airline and the airport, as Akasa becomes one of the first carriers to operate from NMI, offering new direct flights to key destinations such as Delhi, Goa, Kochi, and Ahmedabad. The announcement comes just after the airport’s grand opening, which was inaugurated by the Prime Minister on 8 October.

Akasa’s initial flight network will connect NMI with major cities, and the airline confirmed that the first set of flights will begin on Christmas Day. The airline will then roll out daily and selective-day operations across several routes. This early launch highlights Akasa’s strategic focus on expanding regional connectivity in western India, making it one of the key airlines to begin commercial flights at the new airport.

Flight Schedule Overview

The first flights from NMI will launch on 25 December, connecting Delhi and Navi Mumbai. The inaugural Delhi–Navi Mumbai flight, QP 1831, will depart Delhi at 05:25 and arrive at NMI at 08:10. The return flight, QP 1832, will leave NMI at 08:50 and arrive in Delhi at 11:15. These two flights will operate only on the launch day, marking the beginning of Akasa’s operations at NMI.

Starting 26 December, Akasa will operate regular daily flights between Delhi and Navi Mumbai. The morning flight, QP 1831, will depart Delhi at 06:30 and land at NMI at 08:50. The return flight, QP 1832, will leave NMI at 10:55 and reach Delhi at 13:15. This route will run every day, providing convenient and frequent service for travelers between the two cities.

In addition to the Delhi route, Akasa will also offer daily flights between Mopa Airport in Goa and NMI, starting from 25 December. Flight QP 1928 will depart Goa at 15:40, arriving at NMI at 17:00. The return flight, QP 1927, will leave NMI at 17:40 and land in Goa at 18:55. This service will operate daily except on Wednesdays.

Kochi and Ahmedabad Routes

Akasa will add the Kochi route starting 26 December, with flights scheduled for Fridays and Saturdays. Flight QP 1914 will depart Kochi at 10:50 and land at NMI at 12:45. The return flight, QP 1915, will leave NMI at 13:30 and arrive in Kochi at 15:30.

Starting from 28 December, Akasa will expand the Kochi service to include additional flights on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Sundays. This extension will provide even more travel options for passengers between Kochi and Navi Mumbai, ensuring greater flexibility in flight schedules.

Akasa will also begin flying to Ahmedabad from NMI on 31 December. The Ahmedabad-bound flight, QP 1916, will depart NMI at 17:40 and arrive in Ahmedabad at 18:50. This flight will operate every Wednesday, providing another essential connection for passengers traveling between the two cities.
