Caribbean Tourism Organization

Nestled in the Northeastern Caribbean, one can find the enchanting and unparalleled Caribbean jewel, Anguilla. This British Overseas Territory has gained renown for its pristine powder-white beaches, crystal-clear turquoise waters, a culinary scene curated by some of the Caribbean’s most skilled chefs, and exceptional accommodation options, all set away from the well-trodden tourist paths.

In the thriving year of 2023, Anguilla has experienced a remarkable surge in tourist arrivals, boasting a 20% increase from the previous year and positioning itself to surpass the record set in 2019.

 New Attractions on the Horizon

Aurora Anguilla’s Entertainment Park: Anticipated to unveil its wonders in late 2023, Aurora Anguilla, situated on the picturesque Rendezvous Bay, will introduce a state-of-the-art Entertainment Park. This includes a world-class tennis center, pickleball courts, climbing wall, beach volleyball, clay bocce and basketball courts, a 9-hole mini golf course, and a captivating family-friendly pool complex. Notably, Anguilla’s only golf courses have been enhanced with the opening of a new clubhouse for the 9-hole Avalon Links short course in November 2022, complementing the redeveloped Greg Norman-designed 18-hole International Course.

Kokoon Villas: A private haven comprising six two- and three-bedroom homes overlooking the Caribbean Sea and the hills of St. Maarten. These eco-friendly properties, currently under construction, will run entirely on solar energy and feature rainwater collection, water treatment, and filtration systems. Additionally, ÀNI Private Resorts is expanding its offerings with a new 15-suite estate on Shoal Bay Beach, set to open in 2024.

Cap Juluca Spa by Guerlain: Set to open in Spring 2024 at Cap Juluca, A Belmond Hotel, this $8 million spa facility draws inspiration from the Arawak Indians, Anguilla’s earliest inhabitants. Offering exclusive Guerlain treatments, the spa aims to evoke the spirit of renewal and rejuvenation celebrated by the Arawak Indians.

Four Seasons Resort & Residences: Hosting wellness specialist Melissa Fox and renowned chef Geoffrey Zakarian, the resort will feature signature facials and a culinary takeover at SALT, its main restaurant, during select dates in December 2023 and January 2024.

 Culinary Delights

Anguilla’s status as the ultimate culinary destination in the Caribbean remains unchallenged. The third annual Anguilla Culinary Experience (ACE) in May 2024 will feature international and local chefs collaborating across four days of festivities, including parties, dinners, barbecues, and tastings at various resorts and restaurants.

Malliouhana’s 40th Anniversary: The iconic Malliouhana celebrates its 40th anniversary in 2024, introducing a new wine program led by James Beard award-winning sommelier Shelley Lindgren, enhancing wine experiences at each of its signature dining concepts.

Local Culinary Scene: Tasty’s POV, overlooking Sandy Ground, expands its menu to include sushi, and Arawak Beach Club introduces Mediterranean-inspired tapas at their new eatery, Arawak’s Taverna.

 Music and Festivals

Legendary musician Bankie Banx revives the Moonsplash music festival at the iconic Dune Preserve beach bar from March 22 – 24, 2024. The Island marks 50 years of carnival with Summer Festival 2024, a ten-day extravaganza from August 1 – 11, featuring parades, calypso competitions, beach barbecues, and the Miss Anguilla pageant.

 Enhanced Accessibility

For U.S. travelers, access to Anguilla has never been more convenient. American Airlines now operates daily direct flights from Miami International to Anguilla, with increased service from mid-December 2023 through the summer of 2024.

Aurora Anguilla Resort & Golf Club offers charter service flights directly to the island from Westchester County Airport for travelers from the New York area, available from mid-December to April 2024.

Intra-regional services have expanded with new routes connecting Anguilla, Antigua, and St. Barths, facilitating travel between these idyllic destinations. Anguilla Air Services and Tradewind Aviation provide scheduled flights, further enhancing the accessibility and allure of this Caribbean gem.
