Another fire erupted in California, evacuations underway, 10 active wildfires threatening

The Riverside County fire department said that another fire has erupted in California early Thursday morning.

 

The Jurupa valley fire was reported at 12:39 am local time and this was the 46th fire. It is located on the 5300 block on the 46th Street.

 

 

The fire department mentioned that the fire had spread across 75 acres and was 0% contained as of 2:45 a.m. local time. The fire was burning with a rapid rate of speed and 74 firefighters battled the blaze.

 

 

One residential structure,one mobile home and two outbuildings have been damaged so far.

 

 

Through Southern California hurricane-force winds have been blowing which is stoking the fires that raged through the area.

 

 

According to Cal Fire more than 10 active wildfires are threatening the state.

 

The Getty Fire in Los Angeles is threatening more than 7,000 homes as per the Los Angeles Fire Department said. The Easy Fire broke out in Simi Valley Wednesday located 40 miles northwest of the city.  At least 74 mph wind gusts of hurricane force were reported at a weather station seven miles north of Simi Valley.

 

The state had secured a Fire Management Assistance Grant from the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) to help fight Easy Fire.  The grant will permit local and state and agencies to apply for a 75% reimbursement of eligible fire suppression costs.
