The railway work at Tolahunse Yard is part of connectivity improvements linked to the upcoming Tumakuru-Davangere broad-gauge line. To allow the necessary construction and operational arrangements, South Western Railway has modified services operating through the affected railway section.

Several daily and weekly trains will experience temporary route changes during the scheduled period. While some services will be cancelled on selected dates, others will operate only up to alternative stations or follow different routes to avoid the affected area.

The revised arrangements are expected to remain in place until October 13, after which normal train operations will gradually resume depending on the completion of the yard-related work.

Train cancellations and partial service reductions announced

Some passenger services will face complete cancellation during the maintenance period.

The SSS Hubballi-Arsikere Daily Express (Train No. 16214) will not operate on October 8 and October 9. Its return journey, Arsikere-SSS Hubballi Daily Express (Train No. 16213), will remain cancelled on October 9 and October 10.

Other services will operate with reduced routes instead of full cancellations.

The KSR Bengaluru-Dharwad Siddaganga Daily Superfast Express (Train No. 12725) will run only between KSR Bengaluru and Birur on selected dates. The service will not continue from Birur to Dharwad on September 22, 23 and 27, along with October 1, 2, 3, 6, 7, 8 and 9.

The return Dharwad-KSR Bengaluru Siddaganga Daily Superfast Express (Train No. 12726) will begin its journey from Birur instead of Dharwad on September 23, 24 and 28, followed by October 2, 3, 4, 7, 8, 9 and 10.

The SSS Hubballi-Chitradurga Daily Express (Train No. 17347) will terminate at Harihar instead of Chitradurga on September 25, 26 and 27, October 1, 5, 6, 11, 12 and 13. The return service, Train No. 17348 Chitradurga-SSS Hubballi Express, will start from Harihar on these dates.

Similarly, the Mysuru-Belagavi Express (Train No. 20676) will operate only up to Birur instead of Belagavi on September 25, 26 and 27, October 1, 5, 6, 11, 12 and 13. The Belagavi-Mysuru Express (Train No. 20675) will begin from Birur instead of Belagavi on September 26, 27 and 28, October 2, 5, 6, 11, 12 and 13.

Long-distance trains diverted through alternative railway routes

Several long-distance services will avoid the affected railway section by taking alternate routes.

The Udaipur City-Mysuru Humsafar Weekly Express (Train No. 19667) will run through SSS Hubballi, Ballari, Guntakal, Dharmavaram and KSR Bengaluru on September 21 and October 5. The service will not stop at Davangere during these journeys.

The Shri Ganganagar-Tiruchchirappalli Weekly Superfast Express (Train No. 22497) will also follow the SSS Hubballi-Ballari-Guntakal-Dharmavaram-Krishnarajapuram route on September 21 and October 5. It will skip scheduled stops including Harihar, Davangere, Birur, Arsikere, Tumakuru and Banaswadi.

The Harihar-Hosapete Passenger services (Train Nos. 56529 and 56530) will operate through the Harihar-Amaravathi Colony-Teligi route from September 21 to October 13. These trains will not stop at Davangere and Tolahunse.

The Vasco Da Gama-Yesvantpur Daily Express (Train No. 17310) will operate via SSS Hubballi, Ballari, Rayadurg and Chikjajur on September 22, 23 and 27, along with October 1, 2, 3, 6, 7, 8, 9 and 11. Stops at Haveri, Ranibennur, Harihar and Davangere will be skipped.

The KSR Bengaluru-Sindhanur Daily Express (Train No. 17391) will follow a diverted route through Chikjajur, Rayadurg and Ginigera on September 22, 23, October 1, 2, 6, 7, 8 and 9. Several scheduled stops, including Davangere, Harihar, Ranibennur, Haveri, Hubballi, Gadag, Talakal and Koppal, will not be available.

Weekly special trains also affected by route changes

Weekly special services will also experience diversions during the yard work.

The Prayagraj-SSS Hubballi Weekly Express Special (Train No. 04113) will operate through Dhone, Gooty, Guntakal, Ballari and SSS Hubballi on October 3 and October 10. Stations including Anantapur, Dharmavaram, Hindupur, Yelahanka, Tumakuru, Arsikere, Davangere and Haveri will be skipped.

The Yesvantpur-Barmer Weekly AC Express (Train No. 14805) will take the Birur-Chikjajur-Rayadurg-Ballari-Gadag route on October 5 and will not stop at Davangere or SSS Hubballi.

The Kollam-SSS Hubballi Weekly Express Special (Train No. 07314) will travel through SMVT Bengaluru, Dharmavaram, Guntakal and Ballari on October 5. The revised route will skip Tumakuru, Arsikere, Birur, Davangere and Haveri.

The SSS Hubballi-Prayagraj Weekly Express Special (Train No. 04114) will follow the SSS Hubballi-Ballari-Guntakal-Gooty-Dhone route on October 6. The service will bypass Haveri, Davangere, Arsikere, Tumakuru, Yelahanka, Hindupur, Dharmavaram and Anantapur.
