Marriott International has announced that 44 of its hotels across Asia Pacific excluding China have secured 56 MICHELIN Keys in the 2026 global MICHELIN Key Awards, recognising the properties for their exceptional hospitality, unique design concepts, cultural connections and commitment to delivering memorable guest experiences.

Announced on 18 September 2026, the MICHELIN Key Awards have expanded their global presence across North America, Europe, Asia and nearly 100 other markets, highlighting the world’s most outstanding hotels. Among Marriott’s recognised properties in the region, most received the prestigious One MICHELIN Key distinction, reflecting their strong standards in service, architecture and overall guest experience.

Several Marriott properties achieved higher honours, with The Ritz-Carlton, Nikko; Bvlgari Resort Bali; Iniala Beach House, a Member of Design Hotels; and The Ritz-Carlton, Nikko earning the coveted Two MICHELIN Key recognition. Four iconic properties reached the highest level of distinction with a Three MICHELIN Key rating: Bvlgari Hotel Tokyo, HOTEL THE MITSUI KYOTO, a Luxury Collection Hotel & Spa, Mandapa, a Ritz-Carlton Reserve, and Phulay Bay, a Ritz-Carlton Reserve.

The awards highlight Marriott International’s continued investment in creating luxury stays that combine refined architecture, local heritage, personalised service and meaningful connections between travellers and destinations. Each recognised hotel represents a blend of thoughtful design, cultural authenticity and elevated hospitality experiences that align with the evolving expectations of global travellers.

“This recognition affirms our belief that truly exceptional hotels transcend mere accommodation, they become cultural destinations in their own right,” says Rajeev Menon, President, Asia Pacific excluding China, Marriott International. “Across the region, our teams craft distinctive experiences that honor local traditions while delivering the refined service our guests expect. We’re grateful the MICHELIN inspectors recognized this dedication across 44 properties, and we remain committed to setting new standards for hospitality.”

The MICHELIN Key Awards recognise exceptional hotels through a detailed evaluation process inspired by the same high standards associated with the renowned MICHELIN Guide. The assessment focuses on several important elements, including outstanding architectural design, consistent service excellence, distinctive guest experiences, and the ability of a property to deliver memorable stays that leave a lasting impression. Hotels receiving MICHELIN Keys are recognised for their exceptional quality, strong identity, and remarkable contribution to the global luxury hospitality landscape.

A selection of Marriott International hotels and resorts has earned recognition in the prestigious MICHELIN Key Awards, highlighting the group’s presence among some of the world’s most distinguished hospitality properties.
