Arunachal Tourism elevated – Tezu wakes up to a new airport

New Air routes to be introduced by October this year elevating tourism in Arunachal Pradesh.
Honourable Minster for Civil Aviation Mr Jyotiraditya Scindia proposed the operation of 3 new routes between Itanagar New Delhi , Itanagar Johrat in Assam and Ruskin in East Siang and Itanagar.
As per the ministry the new routes will be operated under the Centres UDAN -5 Scheme designed for the connectivity and development of smaller regional airports so travellers have easy access to aviation services.

The civil aviation minister Mr.Scindia in the presence of Deputy Chief Minister,MLAs AAI officials Honourable MP Tapir Gao Arunachal Pradesh state President BJP and general public of Lohit District inaugurated a new runway , a terminal building and an ATC Tower at Tezu airport at a construction cost of Rs 170 crores. The airport covers 212 acres of land and can accommodate around 300 passengers during peak hours. The airport currently has five check in counters with a proposal to increase to eight. Presently the airport is connected to Dibrugarh Guwahati and Imphal with Alliance Air , Flybig Airlines and others
