Ascott Limited, the Official Hotels Partner of Chelsea Football Club, unveiled Asia’s first Chelsea-themed hotel suites at Ascott Sudirman Jakarta and Citadines Sudirman Jakarta in Indonesia. This launch was part of The Famous CFC Jakarta, the third installment of Chelsea’s international fan engagement event, presented by Ascott. The event, held on November 29-30, 2025, was headlined by former England international and Chelsea club captain Gary Cahill, who played a central role in the festivities. The two-day event featured a variety of activities, including a fireside chat, fan meet-and-greet, a pre-match celebration, and a watch party for Chelsea’s match against Arsenal. These events took place at key locations across Ascott’s prominent Jakarta properties, including Ascott Sudirman Jakarta, Citadines Sudirman Jakarta, and HARRIS Hotel & Conventions Kelapa Gading.

The Famous CFC is a global fan experience initiative created by Chelsea to strengthen its connection with supporters around the world, while also fostering partnerships with international brands. As the flagship event in Ascott’s second season as Chelsea’s Official Hotels Partner, the Jakarta edition highlighted the enduring collaboration between both organizations.

The Famous CFC Jakarta kicked off at Ascott Sudirman Jakarta on Saturday, 29 November, with Chelsea legend Gary Cahill engaging with fans in an intimate fireside chat. During the session, Cahill reminisced about his time on the pitch and shared memorable moments from his journey with the club.
Afterward, Cahill joined Philip Barnes, Country General Manager of Ascott Indonesia, for the official unveiling of The Legend Suite at Ascott Sudirman Jakarta. Cahill then embarked on a tour of the vibrant city, visiting several Ascott properties, including Citadines Sudirman Jakarta, YELLO Hotel Harmoni Jakarta, and HARRIS Hotel & Conventions Kelapa Gading, bringing the Chelsea spirit to each location.
On Sunday, 30 November, Cahill continued the event’s community-focused activities by visiting the ASIOP Stadium. He hosted a group of students from the Saraswati Learning Centre, a special needs school in central Jakarta. The students participated in arts and crafts activities and a football session, where Cahill provided tips on improving their dribbling skills. This heartwarming session blended sport, creativity, and learning while promoting inclusion and equal opportunity for all young fans.
In the evening, Cahill attended an exclusive meet-and-greet event with Ascott Star Rewards members at HARRIS Hotel & Conventions Kelapa Gading. The event included a Q&A session, where fans interacted with the Chelsea icon and had photo opportunities.
