The Association of Asia Pacific Airlines (AAPA) has declared its intention to organize the Asia and Pacific Turboprop Safety Conference, scheduled for June 26 and 27, 2024, in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
Since 2014, AAPA has been actively engaged with turboprop operators in the region. This initiative aims to provide support to the numerous regional turboprop operators who play a vital role in connecting various cities and remote destinations.
Recognizing the distinct challenges encountered by turboprop operators, especially in the Asia and Pacific region, AAPA is convening this conference to facilitate collaboration among industry stakeholders. The event will bring together AAPA member airlines, alongside other operators and industry bodies, to foster the exchange of insights, best practices, and innovative solutions.
“The industry believes wholeheartedly that safety is paramount for the industry and no airline should be left behind,” said Subhas Menon, Director General at AAPA. “The Asia and Pacific Turboprop Safety Conference underscores our commitment to promoting safety excellence across all segments of commercial aviation.”
The conference will encompass a diverse agenda, addressing key facets of turboprop operations such as emergency response, safety culture, flight data monitoring, and specific airport and operational challenges.
