At World Travel Awards, Philippines nominated

The Philippines and many of its vacation spots have been selected afresh for important awards in the 30th World Travel Awards.

For the Asian category of Leading Beach Destination, the awards have selected Philippines which also won in the 2022 WTA in Vietnam.

Also, the country is competing for the Leading Dive Destination of Asia which the country has grabbed awards in the last four years.

Christina Frasco, theTourism Secretary said that these consistent nominations obviously manifest the rising global travel demand into the Philippines, one that they target to maintain in the forthcoming days with the help of the efforts that they have laid out for the revival of the tourism industry and the conversion post-pandemic. Cebu received the nomination for the Leading Wedding Destination in Asia as the famous Walled City of Intramuros was nominated once again for the Leading Tourist Attraction of Asia.
