The renowned Atlantis Paradise Island, a premier destination resort and entertainment leader in the Caribbean, takes center stage in a family-friendly episode dedicated to edu-tourism for the new series, Big Little Footprints (@biglittlefootprints). Now streaming on Binge Network, this ten-episode series chronicles the captivating adventures of the Van Moorsel family as they traverse the globe, aiming to impart valuable lessons about the profound impact of travel and the power of small actions.

In the episode titled “Big Resort, Big Heart,” viewers follow the jet-setting Van Moorsel family—comprising Karl, Amber, Kai, and Lenox—as they embark on a bucket-list experience at Atlantis Paradise Island. Amidst their journey, they delve into crucial environmental initiatives undertaken by the resort, such as marine life conservation and preservation. The family’s exploration includes a visit to The Dig, the world’s largest open-air marine habitat boasting over 250 species, followed by a delightful lunch at the Caribbean’s inaugural Shake Shack. Additionally, the Van Moorsels partake in an afternoon at Dolphin Cay, where they interact with sea lions and gain insight into the resort’s rescue and rehabilitation endeavors facilitated by the Atlantis Blue Project Foundation.

“Atlantis Paradise Island has been at the forefront of the entertainment industry for decades. We are delighted to have worked with the Van Moorsel family and Binge Network on their inaugural season of Big Little Footprints,” said Audrey Oswell, President and Managing Director of Atlantis Paradise Island. “Through our collaboration, the Big Resort, Big Heart episode offers viewers a deeper look at the Atlantis Blue Project Foundation and how guests can positively impact the environment when visiting Atlantis and the Bahamas.”

The episode also shines a spotlight on various activities offered by Atlantis, such as its sea turtle release program, where the family discovers that thousands of endangered sea turtles have been bred, rescued, and set free over the past two decades. They also visit the nearby Ardastra Gardens and Wildlife Conservation Centre to encounter the Bahamas’ national bird, the flamingo. Additionally, the family enjoys a snorkeling adventure in The Ruins, observing Amber’s underwater exploration from different vantage points across the resort. Meanwhile, Kai and Lenox explore the Atlantis Kids Adventure, engaging in indoor playtime with tactile activities like Lego construction, board games, and swimming with mermaids. The episode culminates with a fun-filled day at Aquaventure, Atlantis’ expansive 141-acre waterscape featuring unique pools, slides, and mermaid-themed attractions.

Beyond its attractions, Atlantis Paradise Island serves as a gateway for guests to immerse themselves in the rich environment, history, art, people, cuisine, and festivities of the Bahamas. In 2023, Atlantis underwent significant multi-million-dollar enhancements, including the complete renovation of The Royal and Atlantis Casino, along with the introduction of Bar Sol. The resort also introduced a variety of enticing new dining options, such as Silan, a Mediterranean-inspired restaurant helmed by James Beard Award-winning chef Alon Shaya, and Paranza at The Cove, an Italian coastal eatery by Michelin-starred chef Michael White—both of which are featured in the episode—as well as Perch at The Cove.
