Austrian Airlines has expanded its flight routes to include the picturesque city of Sevilla just in time for the autumn holidays.

The airline’s winter flight schedule features flights to the Andalusian capital on Tuesdays and Saturdays, with plans to increase the frequency to three weekly flights during the summer season.

Travellers can now experience the birthplace of Flamenco directly from Vienna.

In addition to Sevilla, Austrian Airlines is offering contrasting winter options for passengers. Starting in December, the airline will operate flights to Rovaniemi, the official hometown of Santa Claus, as well as flights to Kittilä, a winter sports destination, as part of its charter program.

Michael Trestl, Chief Commercial Officer of Austrian Airlines, emphasised the airline’s commitment to meeting the year-round travel desires of its passengers. The expansion of the winter flight schedule includes diverse and contrasting destinations to cater to a wide range of tastes, providing travelers with a variety of travel options.

Sevilla, renowned for its rich cultural heritage and vibrant atmosphere, is a gateway to exploring the beautiful Andalusia region, including Granada, Cordoba, and nearby Gibraltar. The region not only offers cultural and historical attractions but also moderate winter temperatures, making it an appealing holiday destination even in the colder months.

To celebrate the inaugural flight to Sevilla, passengers were treated to attractions at Vienna Airport’s departure gate and enjoyed an exclusive culinary surprise on board. Austrian Airlines’ commitment to enhancing the passenger experience continues to make it a top choice for travelers seeking new and exciting destinations.
