Avani Hotels & Resorts debuts in Greater China with Minor Hotels

Minor Hotels, a global player in the hospitality industry with over 540 hotels spread across 56 countries, is teaming up with its joint venture partner in China, Funyard Minor JV Co., to introduce Avani Hotels & Resorts to the Chinese market. Set in the serene landscapes of Guangdong Province’s protected national forest area, Avani Huajian Xinyi Guangdong Resort and Avani+ Xinyi Guangdong Resort are poised to become premier destinations in Xinyi upon their opening in the first half of the year.

These properties by Avani will seamlessly blend leisure, culture, and ecotourism, contributing to the development of an area slated to host multiple hotels, commercial establishments, and residential villas, all aimed at providing an enriching cultural experience steeped in ancient Chinese traditions.

Nestled in the picturesque surroundings of Shuanghe Village, alongside the tranquil waters of the River Huanghua, Avani Huajian Xinyi Guangdong Resort will offer 86 generously appointed rooms and suites. Guests can relish authentic Gaoliang cuisine at the all-day dining restaurant, stay fit at the AvaniFit gym, and unwind in Xinyi’s inaugural infinity sky pool. Catering to families, the resort will feature themed kids’ rooms designed to strike the perfect balance between relaxation and recreation.

Perched amidst bamboo forests, Avani+ Xinyi Guangdong Resort will command breathtaking views from its location above Ma’an Village. With 96 modern accommodations, some boasting private balconies and pools, the resort will house a contemporary all-day dining venue, a bar, an infinity pool, an AvaniFit gym, an AvaniKids club, and other amenities geared towards fostering a sense of tranquility amidst nature.

Xinyi emerges as a burgeoning ecotourism hotspot, brimming with ecological wonders such as expansive alpine meadows, the region’s largest bamboo forest, a stunning mountain lake, rejuvenating hot springs, and acclaimed ecotourism sites. Visitors can explore the historic Shiyin Ancestral Temple, surrounded by a grove of over 30,000 century-old olive trees, or partake in the annual Fruit Festival, celebrating the locally grown Sanhua plum and drawing over a million attendees each year.
