Avelo Airlines is marking a milestone as it reaches the conclusion of its initial 100 days of uninterrupted flights connecting the greater Portland/Salem region to Las Vegas’ Harry Reid International Airport (LAS) and L.A.’s Hollywood Burbank Airport (BUR).
On October 5, 2023, Avelo achieved a significant feat by becoming the first commercial airline to operate from Salem Municipal Airport in nearly 15 years. Avelo stands out as the exclusive carrier providing nonstop flights from SLE to the Entertainment Capital of the World and Southern California. Nestled in the heart of Oregon’s Willamette Valley, Salem is strategically positioned, serving as a hub for nearly 100 cities, including prominent ones like Portland, Eugene, Corvallis, and Beaverton. Avelo’s introduction of services at SLE is particularly advantageous, given that 70% of Oregon’s population resides in the Valley, making travel to Southern California and Las Vegas more convenient than ever.
Since Avelo initiated operations at SLE in October, the airline has successfully served over 13,000 customers. Notably, Avelo boasts a flawless completion record, having not canceled a single flight since launching its services in Salem.

The SLE-LAS and SLE-BUR routes operate twice-weekly (Sundays and Thursdays).
