Berlin, the capital of Germany, has secured its place among the world’s top cities, ranking third in the 2024 annual list published by the international online city magazine “TimeOut,” alongside New York and Cape Town.

Burkhard Kieker, Managing Director of visitBerlin, expressed his pride in Berlin’s robust brand, attributing its global recognition to the dedicated individuals working to enhance the city’s allure. Highlighting the collaborative efforts with New York and Cape Town, Kieker emphasized the ongoing endeavors to further elevate Berlin’s standing.

According to the magazine, Berlin’s greatness extends beyond its renowned clubs, galleries, and cool European capital status. Despite not being widely known for friendliness, Berliners are hailed as the heart and soul of the city. The article commends the ease of navigating the 12 districts with public transportation, suggesting that exploring the city by bike, with its extensive network of lanes and vast green spaces like the Tempelhof Field, adds to the unique experience.
