The Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI) has announced the launch of the 34th Sharjah Ramadan Festival, set to take place from March 8 to April 13, 2024. This 37-day extravaganza will span the entirety of the emirate, touching every city and region within its bounds.

During the festival’s preparatory phase, the organizing committee engaged in extensive discussions with a variety of government and private entities. The aim of these discussions was to enhance coordination and collaboration, thereby ensuring the event’s overall success.

The festival will see participation from major shopping centers, tourist destinations, and retail outlets throughout the emirate. These participants are expected to host an array of activities related to marketing, entertainment, and heritage that pay homage to the holy month of Ramadan.

The 2024 iteration of the festival promises to reach even the cities and suburbs of Sharjah’s central and eastern regions. Attendees can look forward to exploring a vast selection of products offered at significant discounts. Additionally, the festival is set to captivate attendees with thrilling draws, competitions, and the chance to win valuable prizes. An assortment of recreational activities designed to embody the spirit of Ramadan will also be part of the festivities.

Abdullah Sultan Al Owais, the Chairman of the SCCI, highlighted the pivotal role of the Sharjah Ramadan Festival in stimulating the emirate’s economic environment, with a particular focus on the retail sector. Recognizing retail as a foundational pillar of Sharjah’s economy, Al Owais underscored the festival’s potential to invigorate the tourism sector and, by extension, support the wider business community.

The Sharjah Ramadan Festival is poised to significantly boost tourism within the emirate. By incorporating all cities and regions in its celebration, the festival not only showcases the rich cultural and heritage aspects of Sharjah but also promotes widespread economic activity.

The inclusion of shopping centers, destinations, and retail stores in the festival activities ensures that visitors from both within and outside the UAE will have a unique and immersive experience. This broad engagement is expected to attract a larger number of tourists, thereby enhancing the visibility of Sharjah’s diverse offerings on the international stage. The festival’s role in elevating the retail and tourism sectors underscores its importance as a key event in Sharjah’s annual calendar, promising both cultural enrichment and economic growth.
