Kempegowda International Airport in Bengaluru, also known as BLR Airport, has proudly secured the esteemed title of “Best Regional Airport in India and South Asia” at the prestigious 2024 Skytrax World Airport Awards. This accolade, determined through a comprehensive customer satisfaction survey, highlights the overwhelmingly positive feedback received from BLR Airport’s passengers, affirming its exceptional services and standards.
Moreover, BLR Airport’s Terminal 2 achieved the second position as the “World’s Best New Airport Terminal” among terminals inaugurated within the 18 months preceding the 2024 World Airport Awards. This accolade encompasses new airport terminals launched during the specified timeframe, evaluating the entire spectrum of airport amenities, staff performance, and customer experience. Since its inauguration in 2023, Terminal 2 has garnered additional acclaim, including the UNESCO Prix Versailles World’s Most Beautiful Airport distinction, along with a Special Prize for its interior design, LEED platinum certification, and more.
The Skytrax awards ceremony took place at the Passenger Terminal Expo in Frankfurt, Germany, on April 17, 2024, drawing the participation of key figures in the industry, including CEOs, Presidents, and senior management representatives from airports across the globe.
