Brand USA Energizes Tourism with Successful #SouthAmerica Sales Mission

Brand USA recently wrapped up its exhilarating second #SouthAmerica Sales Mission, a dynamic week of business meetings, networking events, and U.S. destination trainings across Brazil and Colombia. This strategic endeavor was aimed at bolstering tourism and fostering relationships between travel professionals from these countries and the United States. The mission proved to be a massive collaborative effort, bringing together 60 buyers from 10 cities and 43 delegates representing 4 states, 11 cities, 4 attractions, and 7 hotel brands, showcasing the diverse and rich tourism opportunities available in the U.S.

The program was highly productive, with a total of 1,560 business meetings conducted throughout the week. Additionally, 232 travel agents received specialized training on U.S. destinations, enhancing their ability to promote travel to the United States effectively. The Sales Mission served as a platform for meaningful exchanges and the development of partnerships that are expected to drive future tourism growth.

Brazil and Colombia stand as the top two inbound markets from South America, with projections indicating close to 3 million visitors to the U.S. in 2024. The importance of these markets cannot be overstated, and the Sales Mission was a pivotal step in ensuring continued growth in visitor numbers from these regions.
