After the creation of New Zealand’s new alliance government, the business events sector is asking for all-of-government acknowledgment for the segment.
Lisa Hopkins, the Chief Executive of Business Events Industry Aotearoa said that the segment includes a wide diversity of governmental portfolios.
Hopkins said that New Zealand’s business events segment influences not only tourism, but varied
industries and government divisions. She said that their sector has huge prospect to impact New Zealand’s financial and social pointers, and their worldwide standing as an excellent first-rate destination.
Hopkins said that they want to work with the government to support the segment, allowing it to grow its scope and possibilities. Most significantly, they understand the constructive influence that the segment plays in providing results for New Zealand and the New Zealanders.
Hopkins said that they are welcoming Matt Doocey as the new Minister for Tourism and Hospitality. Also joining are Melissa Lee as the Economic Development Minister, Erica Stanford as the Immigration Minister and Todd McClay as the Trade Minister.
