Cambodia Rolls Out Pilot Visa-Free Program to Attract Chinese Tourists and Stimulate Tourism Growth

Cambodia is introducing a pilot visa-free entry program aimed at welcoming Chinese travelers and revitalizing its tourism sector. From June 15 to October 15, 2026, Chinese nationals traveling from China will be allowed to stay in Cambodia for up to 14 days without a visa or any fees, requiring only a completed E-arrival card. The pilot initiative will also permit multiple entries, offering flexibility for visitors who wish to return during the trial period.

The program is part of a strategic push to strengthen tourism links with China, one of the world’s largest outbound travel markets. Cambodian authorities are also exploring reciprocal arrangements to facilitate easier visa access for Cambodian citizens visiting China, potentially leading to future visa exemptions for travelers in both countries.
