Canada aids Parc écotouristique to improve Laurentides tourism

The Canadian tourism industry is the main driver of the economy, and before the sector hit hard by COVID-19, generated over $100 billion in annual revenues. The Government of Canada today, is absolutely certain that the sector will again thrive and reach its full potential.


Today, for this reason, Honourable Pascale St Onge, Minister of Sport and Minister, for the Parc écotouristique de la MRC des Laurentides, declared a non repayable contribution of $500,000.


This CED aid will help the organization to grow and enhance the offerings of the sector by familiarizing its products to the present day context, adopting practices that are eco-friendly, and positioning itself for the future.


The Parc écotouristique de la MRC des Laurentides handles its functioning at Parc éco Laurentides. It’s a natural site with 1770 hectares situated at Mont Blanc in the Laurentides region. It develops and encourages this openly accessible site identified by the Quebec government as representing the soil, wildlife, aquatic and plant diversity of Laurentides region. It provides an assorted activities that are outdoor, access to water bodies and exceptionally good accommodations that highlight its distinctive character.


The help of CED will aim on the price of obtaining and installing a play structure; buying a range of outdoor gears like paddleboards, canoes, fat bikes, and a trolley bus; and the growth and expansion of new trails, new signage related to tourism and interpretation panels and tools.
