Canberra is now accepting expressions of interest for grants for the Winter Innovation Festival. Innovators, artists, creatives, businesses, community organisations and researchers can get involved in this Canberra’s newest major event.
This will be a two-stage process with Expressions of Interest due by 5pm, Sunday 12 February. Selected applicants will then be invited to make a full submission in late February.
The Winter Innovation Festival is slated to take place between 7 – 16 July, 2023.
The grants range between $5,000 and $20,000 and will support events and activities as part of the festival program.
The round is looking to support activities that are uniquely Canberra and centre around the people and places. They should demonstrate creativity and innovation and support the city’s reputation as progressive and fostering inclusivity, ACT Government stated in a press release.
The press release further noted that the ACT Event Fund plays an active role in stimulating and fostering positive economic, social, and community outcomes for the Canberra region through the events sector.
It assists eligible applicants to further develop, market, and promote their events, while also supporting a diverse, high-quality calendar of events each year.
