Carnival Cruise Line has recently announced that it has decided to cancel the November sailings for the remaining cruises of the six total ships operating from Port Miami and Port Canaveral. The cruise line has already informed guests and travel agents about the latest actions.

The company has also cancelled five cruises scheduled to operate from Sydney, Australia, before February 8 and after cancelling all cruises for the rest of the year it decided that the November operations for the exceptions PortMiami and Port Canaveral cruises will not be feasible. The move comes following the United States Centres for Disease Control’s decision to extend its no-sail order for cruise operations until October 31.

At present the cruise line is evaluating various options but cruises currently scheduled for December from the two homeports remain in place for the time being. However, guests booked on cruises in December out of Miami and Port Canaveral still have the ability to voluntarily cancel their reservation and receive the same offer that all other impacted guests are receiving, including a combination future cruise credit and onboard credit, or a full refund.

Carnival has also notified guests and travel agents in Australia that cruises on Carnival Splendor from January 16 have been cancelled and all guests would be eligible for a similar refund offer. Meanwhile, the cruise line will continue to work on protocols and procedures that would allow for the resumption of cruise operations, with a gradual, phased-in approach, designating Miami and Port Canaveral as the first two homeports for embarkations.
