Celebrating the Island of Lights and Dazzle at Four Seasons Resort Koh Samui

Four Seasons Resort Koh Samui invites guests to experience the absolute best that the island life has to offer this holiday season, with heartwarming festivities, indulgent dining, special performances, and spa pampering to elevate the mood.

The Resort heralds the year-end celebration with bright lights and dazzling energy, giving guests more than one reason to reconnect with loved ones at one of Thailand’s most scenic islands.

“Let love and light be the guide this year as we curate a luminous celebration at our tropical paradise,” smiles Jasjit Assi, General Manager, highlighting the theme that embraces unity, appreciation, and hope. Whether it is soaking in expansive ocean vistas from the all-pool villas set along the lush tropical hillside, or enjoying thrilling beach-side experiences, it is family-first at the Resort, promising a memorable round-off to 2023 and the beginning of the New Year.

Memorable Dining

The culinary experience through December and January, curated by Executive Chef Ruslan Shipunov, provides the much-needed festive cheer. Fresh seafood, sustainable produce and prime cuts of meat are the theme this year as the restaurants come alive with delectable dining experiences. The festivities begin in true island style with Fisherman’s Christmas Eve at Main Beach (December 24) – a Christmas beach BBQ with a variety of freshly caught seafood, Christmas roasts and grilled meats, as live music, fire spinners, fireworks, and Thai-inspired cocktails enhance the mood.

“Expect your favourite holiday classics at the Christmas Day Brunch at Koh Thai Kitchen (December 25),” smiles Shipunov. The lavish buffet also features Thai and international dishes, highlighted by Thai beverages for a festive atmosphere. Shipunov’s culinary expertise crescendos with a six-course set menu of extraordinary culinary creations on New Year’s Eve at a memorable Seaside Love Affair at Pla Pla, while the Year End Feast at Koh Thai Kitchen feast spans various global cuisines across the restaurant, Studio, and Library with highlights including jamon Ibérico, premium sushi, sashimi, oysters, foie gras, Thai delicacies, and desserts. Tam Rab Thai at Koh Thai Kitchen (December 19, December 26, and January 1) showcases the diverse flavours of Thailand through a tantalizing Thai dinner buffet, where live traditional dance performances and local crafts on display create the perfect setting.

“Welcome the new year with an electrifying Neon Beach Countdown Party 2024,” smiles Assi, “Experience an unforgettable night with vibrant music, dazzling neon lights, and excitement. Enjoy signature neon-inspired cocktails and celebrate in style. At midnight, a breath-taking fireworks display will illuminate the night sky as you raise a glass of Champagne to toast the new year.”

The spirits are high at CoCoRum Bar as Tropicana Tunes on Wednesdays (December 20 and 27, and January 3) and Havana Haze Night on Fridays (December 15, 22 and 29, and January 5) set an upbeat mood.

“The allure of our tropical paradise is in DJ Adam and saxophone player Mr. Saxcan’s rhythmic tunes,” says Bar Manager I Made Dwiki Prayoga, who has curated a menu of mezcal, and tequila cocktails paired with signature cigars to set guests up for fantastic evenings by the poolside.

For Young Children

At the Resort, young guests are never an after-thought as a full itinerary of fun experiences will keep them engaged through their vacation. “Children can take advantage of the Resort’s tropical surroundings with a variety of outdoor adventures, themed parties, and creative activities,” shares Resort Manager Hannes Schneider.

The highlights of the season include the Fisherman’s Christmas Eve Party (December 24) and Under the Sea Christmas Day Children’s Party (December 25) that promises an oceanic adventure with mermaids, dolphins, and a visit from Santa in his aquatic sleigh. At the Neon New Year’s Eve Celebration (December 31), children can enjoy neon face painting, glow-in-the-dark games, and an art station for luminescent creations. “Parents can relax, knowing that their children are in good hands, and are perhaps having more fun than the adults!” Hannes smiles.

Spa Escapades

“No vacation is complete without self-care,” asserts Director of Spa Kotchaphan Mekloy. While The Secret Garden Spa provides the perfect solace and holistic wellbeing, the team recommends signature therapies such as Rice for Life, Cannabis Infused and Mankind for a truly relaxing experience. “A luscious ritual combining home-grown herbs and the harmonious hands of four therapists, Siam Lovers is the ultimate bonding experience for couples,” suggests Mekloy. With coconut and jasmine rice scrub and Earth Energy Four Hands massage, guests can choose a coconut and rose bath in the spa’s al fresco tubs among the lush green trees or in the villa to wrap up this ritual.

For those seeking an active get-away, training at the hill-top Muay Thai ring with panoramic views of the Gulf of Thailand can be a thrilling experience. “Afterwards, head over to the spa for a rejuvenating Muay Thai Recovery experience,” says Mekloy.
