CGH Earth unveils Lockhart Bungalow in the oldest tea estates of Munnar

Providing their flawless hospitality facilities to the tea plantations of Munnar, the primary responsible tourism hospitality series, CGH Earth unveils Lockhart Bungalow in one of the oldest tea estates in the area, Lockhart Estate founded in 1879.

Snuggled in an enthralling 1500 acres of tea estate positioned in the midst of luxurious green inclines and mountain sights, Lockhart Bungalow comprises a three-bedroom colonial bungalow that was initially constructed in the 1940s. CGH Earth has sensibly renovated and renewed the bungalows to reconstruct the appeal of a planter’s life from a long-gone time, presenting the friendliness of a reliable tea plantation bungalow. Food, which is an essential offering at all CGH properties, comprises a curated range of international, Indian and traditional food.

Lockhart Bungalow also comes prepared with a fascinating library at the plantation and delivers
experiences like tea-tasting choices at the Lockhart Tea Factory, hiking and custom-made conducted birding trips to see Palani chilappan (laughing thrush), Black and Orange flycatcher and Nilgiri flycatcher among many other species. For the more adventurous, the highly skilled line-up of the property also presents sunrise strolls and conducted tours to discover the opulent biodiversity of the area. Visitors can see Shrub Frog, Beddom’s bush frog, Kalakkad gliding frog among others.
