China Airlines: APEX 5-Star, Best Design, Best in North Asia

China Airlines, the carrier headquartered in Taiwan, has received the prestigious “Best Airline in North Asia” award from Global Traveler magazine, a testament to its unwavering commitment to excellence in service. Furthermore, the airline has secured the title of “Five Star Global Airline” for an impressive eight consecutive years, triumphing over more than 600 airlines worldwide. Additional international accolades include being recognized as the “Design Airline of the Year – Asia” by TheDesignAir.

Global Traveler, an influential American travel magazine with a readership exceeding 500,000 worldwide, recently hosted its “20th Anniversary GT Tested Reader Survey Awards.” In this event, international business and luxury travelers participated in voting for exceptional performers within the global travel industry. China Airlines, a perennial winner of the Best Airline in North Asia distinction, earned praise from global travelers for its unwavering dedication to delivering top-notch services that make passengers feel at home on each and every flight.

China Airlines has also been honored as a “2024 Five Star Global Airline” by the Airline Passenger Experience Association (APEX), recognizing its steadfast commitment to providing passengers with the finest cabin services. Travelers assessed airlines in five key categories: seat comfort, cabin service, food and beverage, entertainment, and Wi-Fi. China Airlines clinched the Best Wi-Fi award in Greater China as well. The airline’s modern fleets of 777, A350, and A321neo aircraft are now all equipped with in-flight Wi-Fi connectivity. Passengers have the option to purchase a variety of bandwidth plans for multimedia streaming or web browsing services using their credit card or redeeming them through membership miles. The brand-new A321neo, particularly prominent on regional routes, offers complimentary Wi-Fi text messaging services to ensure essential messages are never missed.

In addition to these achievements, TheDesignAir, a renowned international airline design review website, once again bestowed upon China Airlines the title of “Design Airline of the Year – Asia,” and the airline secured the fourth position in the overall Design Airline of the Year ranking. The A321neo, the primary aircraft serving regional passenger routes, features a cabin design that harmoniously blends Oriental aesthetics with local cultural heritage, natural landscapes, and urban culture. In the Premium Business Class cabin, a tranquil palette creates an ambiance reminiscent of serene forest glades, while the Economy Class is adorned with vibrant colors to evoke lively urban vibes. Both fully-flat Business Class seats and spacious, comfortable Economy Class seats are equipped with 4K high-definition displays. Economy Class passengers benefit from expansive 13.3” screens for an enriched viewing experience.
