COPPA DELLE ALPI 2024: From the Adriatic to the Heart of the Alps, Trieste to Courmayeur

Coppa delle Alpi’s the fourth edition was presented. The event for 2024 will go past the usual winter race for historic cars to turn into a Grand Tour of 5 legs crossing the Alpine arc from East to West, through Slovenia, Italy, Austria, Switzerland, Liechtenstein, Germany and France. In correspondence with the itinerary of the race, 1000 Miglia has taken the decision to introduce the The Grand Alpine Journey plan, a path of reflection on behalf of the anthropological, socio-economic, and environmental changes of the Alpine macro-region.

As the main characters of the sports event, and dynamic participants in the project, competitors will be restricted to 30 cars, along with 10 crews comprised of well-known figures on the five macro-themes highlighted during the different days: crafts, agriculture, energy and tourism.

With the help of the AAster Consortium, which carried on the preparatory training of the project, at the time of the lunches and dinners of the race on each day, in-depth meetings will take place with local councils and organizations of the best practices of the area. In this project, together with the 1000 Miglia, will be the Altagamma Foundation, the Università della Montagna, and the Aosta Valley Region.
