Costa redefines cruise experience with Sea Destinations in 2024

Costa unveils an exciting new addition set to elevate its cruises to unparalleled heights in 2024: introducing ‘Sea Destinations’.

Commencing next spring, Costa’s voyages across the Mediterranean and Northern Europe will be imbued with fresh experiences as they unveil captivating new destinations to explore directly from the ship. Offering a voyage within a voyage, the sea becomes not just a conduit for reaching ports of call but a vantage point for immersive moments, weaving tales of iconic locales along the ship’s route. This innovative approach means that alongside traditional onshore destinations like Barcelona, Naples, Genoa, Istanbul, and Mykonos, Costa’s itineraries will now also whisk guests to new, enchanting destinations nestled between the sky and the sea.

Picture this: in the Western Mediterranean, following a visit to Ibiza, guests can indulge in the bohemian ambiance of a hippy chic party at sunset in Formentera’s bay, or savor a quintessential Caprese breakfast against the backdrop of Capri’s Faraglioni rocks bathed in the morning light before disembarking for Naples.

Meanwhile, in the Eastern Mediterranean, guests will be treated to a mesmerizing underwater feast as the ship glides over the deepest points of the sea. And as they traverse the gateway to the East, the Dardanelles strait, guests can immerse themselves in a journey through time, marveling at the mystical dance of the rotating veils of the Dervishes. After exploring Venice’s winding alleys, a “Dolce Vita” aperitif awaits on deck, offering a front-row seat to the sunset over the lagoon amidst nods to Italian cinema and a Film Festival-inspired soundtrack.
