The JW Marriott Costa Rica All-Inclusive Resort is set to transform the luxury hospitality scene in the country, combining exceptional service, sophisticated design, and the brand’s signature mindfulness experience. The resort, located just 49 miles from Daniel Oduber Quirós International Airport, will feature 415 elegant guest rooms, a variety of dining options, and an array of water amenities including 17 swimming pools.
The property’s location within Costa Elena, a premium community, offers 885 feet of pristine beach frontage, providing an idyllic backdrop for discerning travelers. The resort will also feature 10,000 square feet of indoor meeting space, a 16,000 square foot wellness-focused spa, and a state-of-the-art fitness center.
Exciting Future Developments for Costa Elena
The luxury experience at the JW Marriott Costa Rica Resort will extend beyond its initial offerings. Marriott International and Mullen Real Estate Capital are already exploring future plans to introduce JW Marriott-branded residences adjacent to the resort, expanding the property’s appeal to both investors and long-term luxury residents.

Together, we aim to set new standards and create exceptional opportunities for travelers and investors alike.”
Costa Rica’s Continued Growth in Luxury Travel
Costa Rica has become an increasingly sought-after destination for luxury travelers, and Marriott’s investment in the country continues to grow. The announcement follows Marriott’s recent opening of its 50th luxury property in Costa Rica, the Ritz-Carlton Reserve Nekajui. With more than 10 new deals signed in 2024, Costa Rica’s luxury hospitality sector is booming, and Marriott has solidified its position as a key player in the region.
With the signing of 15 new properties in Costa Rica, Marriott’s presence in the country is poised for significant growth. These developments will bring a total of 1,776 rooms to the region, highlighting the increasing demand for high-end resorts and all-inclusive offerings.
