Central Railway Announces Major Upgrade as Five Special Trains Become Regular Services from August 15, 2026

The Central Railway has opted to make permanent passenger services from five special trains effective August 15, 2026. The railway is aiming to enhance passenger travel involvity and connectivity. The services will run as regular services with allocated train numbers, fixed schedules, and continuous services on key routes of Solapur, Daund, Kalaburagi, Badnera, and Nashik Road. It will also provide regular train services to Solapur, Daund, Kalaburagi, Badnera and Nashik Road. The aim is to ease the operations journey for passengers, business travellers, and commuters of Maharashtra and the region adjacent to it.

The regularisation of these services will replace temporary special train numbers with permanent passenger service numbers. The move is expected to benefit daily commuters, students, business travellers and passengers travelling between Solapur, Daund, Kalaburagi, Badnera and Nashik Road.

The newly regularised services include daily passenger trains on the Solapur-Daund and Solapur-Kalaburagi routes, fast passenger services connecting Daund and Kalaburagi, and a daily MEMU service between Badnera and Nashik Road.

Solapur-Daund Daily Passenger Service Gets Permanent Train Numbers

The Solapur-Daund-Solapur passenger service, earlier operating as special trains 01461 and 01462, will now run as regular trains numbered 71434 and 71433.

The new train service will operate every day with 10 DEMU coaches, offering a dependable transport option for passengers travelling between Solapur and Daund.

Train number 71434 will depart from Solapur at 10:00 am and reach Daund at 4:25 pm. The return service, train number 71433, will leave Daund at 5:05 pm and arrive in Solapur at 11:35 pm.

The train will stop at several important stations along the route, including Mohol, Madha, Kurduwadi, Kem, Jeur, Kettur and Bhigwan. These stops will improve accessibility for passengers from smaller towns and rural areas.

Solapur-Kalaburagi Daily Passenger Service Strengthens Regional Links

The Solapur-Kalaburagi-Solapur passenger service will also become a regular train operation. The earlier special train numbers 01465 and 01466 will be replaced by new regular numbers 71435 and 71436.

The daily passenger service will continue with 10 DEMU coaches, providing a convenient travel option between Maharashtra and Karnataka.

Train number 71435 will start from Solapur at 3:10 pm and reach Kalaburagi at 5:25 pm. The return journey, operated as train number 71436, will depart from Kalaburagi at 8:40 pm and arrive in Solapur at 11:20 pm.

The service will stop at Hotgi, Akalkot Road, Dudhani and Ganagapur Road, helping passengers access important local destinations and improving regional mobility.

Daund-Kalaburagi Fast Passenger Services Become Regular

The Daund-Kalaburagi-Daund fast passenger route will receive two separate regular services to maintain connectivity throughout the week.

The earlier special trains 01421 and 01422 will now operate as regular trains 51301 and 51302. These services will run five days a week, excluding Sunday and Thursday.

Train number 51301 will depart from Daund at 5:00 am on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday, reaching Kalaburagi at 11:20 am. The return service, train number 51302, will leave Kalaburagi at 4:10 pm and reach Daund at 10:20 pm.

These trains will have 10 General Second Class coaches along with two Second Seating-cum-Guard’s Brake Vans.

A separate twice-weekly service will operate on Sundays and Thursdays. The earlier special trains 01425 and 01426 will become regular services numbered 51303 and 51304.

Train number 51303 will leave Daund at 5:00 am and reach Kalaburagi at 11:20 am. Train number 51304 will depart from Kalaburagi at 8:30 pm and arrive at Daund at 2:30 am the following day.

Both fast passenger services will stop at key stations including Bhigwan, Kettur, Jeur, Kem, Kurduwadi, Madha, Mohol, Solapur, Tikekarwadi, Hotgi, Akalkot Road, Boroti, Dudhani and Ganagapur Road.

Badnera-Nashik Road MEMU Service Becomes Daily Regular Train

The Badnera-Nashik Road passenger service will also transition from special operations to a permanent daily service. Earlier operating as trains 01211 and 01212, it will now run as regular trains 61130 and 61129.

The service will operate with 12 MEMU coaches, improving daily travel options across Maharashtra.

Train number 61130 will leave Badnera at 10:05 am and reach Nashik Road at 7:40 pm on the same day. The return journey, train number 61129, will depart Nashik Road at 9:15 pm and arrive at Badnera at 5:35 am the next morning.

The MEMU train will halt at Murtizapur, Borgaon, Akola, Shegaon, Nandura, Malkapur, Bodwad, Bhusawal, Jalgaon, Pachora, Kajgaon, Chalisgaon, Nandgaon, Manmad, Lasalgaon and Niphad.

Improved Rail Connectivity Across Maharashtra

The regularisation of these five train services reflects efforts to create a more stable and passenger-friendly railway network. By converting temporary services into permanent operations, Central Railway will provide passengers with clearer schedules, improved planning opportunities and better access to regional destinations.
