Memorable Dining

The celebrations begin early with a delightful Lanna Market Dinner (December 10, 2023) at Khao by Four Seasons, where guests can enjoy a traditional market setting, with folk performances and local handicrafts adding an authentic touch. “Chiang Mai’s lively street food culture is pure magic, as our Sous Chef Naruchit Tiangtrong and his talented team bring it right to the guests in an elevated dining experience,” shares Anthony Tschudin, Resort Manager. From sizzling stir-fries and hand-tossed salads to favourite Thai curries, this is a real treat. A feast fit for kings, Taste of Siam (December 27, 2023) displays some of the finest royal recipes as Chef Tiangtrong takes guests on a journey around the Kingdom. Traditional live music and Thai dance performances enhance the festive atmosphere while guests can savour some regional fare.

Char-grilled meats and fresh seafood are the order of the evening at North by Four Seasons, where an elaborate BBQ Buffet Dinner (December 20, 2023) takes centre-stage. “Imported oysters and charcuterie will be on offer, along with a fabulous range of seasonal salads. To round off the meal, enjoy desserts from our pastry chef,” he adds. A lavish Christmas Eve Dinner at Rim Tai Kitchen (December 24, 2023) raises the bar even further, with Peking duck, Christmas hams and porchetta headlining the menu, while a trio of jazz musicians take over to set the festive tempo. “There’s no stopping the merriment at the Resort as we continue into a lively Christmas Day Brunch, and a Christmas BBQ Platter (December 25, 2023), where a premium surf and turf selection of grilled meats is accompanied by appetisers and desserts,” shares Tschudin.

For Executive Chef Jaeyoung Lee, this is just the calm before the storm. “Our aim is to take guests on a journey of discovery with every meal,” the Resort’s Executive Chef explains. “Each dish we create has been selected to tell a story, featuring local ingredients that have been sourced for their freshness and vitality. Our skilled kitchen teams are excited to display their talent during this weeklong celebration, and we look forward to treating our guests to a spectacle of flavours and fun.” The culinary team crescendos at the New Year’s Eve Buffet Dinner (December 31, 2023) held at the Cocktail Lawn, where fireworks and fanfare to bring in the year 2024.

Lanna Blessings for a New Year

The enchanting Lanna Charm New Year’s Eve Celebration (December 31, 2023) offers an exquisite al fresco dinner with live grill stations, tantalising cocktails, and the finest Champagne to kickstart the evening. “Immerse in the festive atmosphere as traditional Lanna-style dance performances and live music create the perfect backdrop for the countdown, all infused with renowned Four Seasons elegance,” shares Tschudin. “The highlight of the evening is the captivating ‘Mantra of Siam’ performance, featuring Nang Thewee Four Regions dancers, who bestow blessings of happiness, welcoming guests to the festivities.” A procession of fairy godmothers, each representing a different region, enchant the audience gathered for the celebration. “At the end of the performance, the fairy godmothers bearing flower bowls reappear, presenting a breath-taking display of flowers, as if bestowing complete and lasting happiness upon all in attendance.” Start the year in style with New Year’s Day Brunch (January 1, 2024) at Khao by Four Seasons, featuring an array of international dishes from around the world, best enjoyed with family and friends to create unforgettable memories.

Mindful Living

The verdant paddy fields and mountainous terrain make for fabulous exploration for those who seek balance – both within and without. “With an indulgent holiday to navigate during festive season, guests are sure to want a little lifestyle intervention,” grins Dheeraj Patwal, Health and Wellness Manager. The Resort’s focused wellness programs are aimed to recentre both mind and body – from yoga and mindfulness sessions to a range of holistic treatments at the Resort’s award-winning Wara Cheewa Spa, guests can choose from a range of personalised programs to help rest and recoup at the end of the year. “Signature treatments such as Reconnect with Joy have been designed to restore vitality as you begin with a sunrise yoga session, followed by a detoxifying rice and spice body scrub and a herbal compress massage,” shares Saowapa Thumapun, Director of Spa. The highlight of the festive offering is the Black Diamond Face Sculpting Journey that not only engages the senses but draws upon the innate qualities of the body to restore radiance and youthfulness.
