Cyprus launching an initiative to revive tourism in mountain villages

Tourism is seeing happy times in Cyprus, despite the island suffering from a damaging financial crisis five years ago. But not all areas are reaping the rewards of those seeking sunnier shores.

 
Now, the government of Cyprus is launching an initiative to perk up tourist villages in the mountains.

 
Cyprus is a small island with a long and rich history and culture, making it one of the oldest civilizations in the Mediterranean. The island has many fascinating cultural sights, museums, monuments and galleries. Tourism in Cyprus occupies a pivotal position in its economy.
