The administration of the Czech Republic inked a Letter of Offer and Acceptance (LOA), making its purpose official to obtain 24 Lockheed Martin 5th Generation F-35 Lightning II airplane. With the help of the U.S. government Foreign Military Sale, the Czech Air Force will obtain its first airplane in 2031, which would happen in the newest cutting-edge Block 4 arrangement.
Mike Schmidt, the U.S. Air Force Lt. Gen., program executive officer, F-35 Joint Program Office said that they are happy that the administration of the Czech Republic is now formally a part of the F-35 Lightning II program of record.
