Delta CEO Ed Bastian wons prestigious 34th annual Four Pillar Award by the Council for Quality Growth

Delta CEO Ed Bastian has been recognised with the prestigious 34th annual Four Pillar Award by the Council for Quality Growth.

This accolade is bestowed upon an exceptional Georgian who has made substantial contributions to the state’s economic growth and the enhancement of the region’s quality of life.

The award ceremony, held in Atlanta on October 12, 2023, was attended by numerous business and community leaders who gathered to acknowledge Delta’s and Bastian’s remarkable achievements. Bastian’s chosen theme, “Leading With Purpose,” reflects Delta’s core values, which prioritize people. The award is built on four fundamental pillars: Quality, Responsibility, Vision, and Integrity.

Upon receiving the award, Bastian expressed his gratitude on behalf of Delta’s 100,000 employees who consistently embody Delta’s values, contributing to the well-being of the communities where they live, work, and serve. He emphasized the privilege of serving them and accepted this esteemed recognition with humility. Bastian’s dedication to his community is further exemplified by his involvement with various organizations, including the Woodruff Arts Center board, Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta, and leadership roles in the Metro Atlanta Chamber and the Atlanta Committee for Progress. His outstanding contributions have earned him recognition as a Georgia Trustee by the Georgia Historical Society and the upcoming honor of CEO of the Year from Chief Executive Group in New York City.

Delta, with over 34,000 employees in Georgia, has called the state home for more than 75 years. The airline plays a vital role in the state’s economy, operating over 800 daily flights from Georgia and offering comprehensive international connections to more than 200 destinations. Additionally, Delta’s workforce development programs, Propel and TechU, support Georgia’s aviation industry by partnering with the University System of Georgia and Technical College System of Georgia to cultivate the next generation of aviation professionals.
