The newly introduced returning route, part of the Northern Hub’s extensive network of over 200 routes, supplements existing services to Marrakech, offering travelers increased options for exploring the West African nation.

Casablanca serves as an excellent entry point for further adventures into sub-Saharan Africa, presenting a myriad of possibilities for travelers originating from the North.

This marks the first time since the onset of the pandemic that passengers from the region can enjoy direct flights to Casablanca. Operating three times a week on Tuesday, Thursday, and Sunday, the flights will be serviced by a Boeing 737-800 aircraft with a flight duration of approximately 3 hours and 30 minutes.

Renowned for its diverse cultural landscape, Casablanca boasts art deco architecture, a vibrant culinary scene featuring both Moroccan and international cuisine, upscale shopping opportunities, and captivating sea views.

Lucie Hinton, Head of Aviation Business Development for Manchester Airport, said:

“Here at Manchester Airport we’re proud to connect the North to the world and we’re always looking for exciting new routes to offer to the people of the region.

“Casablanca is a really exciting destination – it showcases modern Morocco alongside more traditional sights alongside a fantastic seafront that also means it benefits from a cool breeze. On top of this it’s a great base for further exploration of Morocco.”

Zoubida Smahi, Royal Air Maroc general manager for the UK, said:

“As part of its expansion plan, Royal Air Maroc is delighted to participate in strengthening the connections between Morocco and the UK through the re-launch of the direct flights from Manchester to Casablanca. This new service facilitates seamless travel from the North to Morocco and beyond.

“Casablanca has reaffirmed its role as a commercial hub and a strategic gateway to sub-Saharan Africa. As the leading company in West Africa, the Moroccan national carrier aims at placing the African continent at the forefront of global connectivity with a focus on facilitating business travel, family visits and tourism.
As a major key player in the region, Royal Air Maroc takes pride in its membership in the oneworld Alliance, bringing even more destinations and benefits for oneworld’s frequent flyers and smoother transfers for passengers travelling across all member airlines.”
