Directorate of Tourism, Kashmir honors tourism players showcasing honesty and commitment

The Directorate of Tourism, Kashmir honored the tourism players showcasing exemplary honesty, dedication and commitment in their trade and toward service of tourists. The felicitations were done together with a local tourist trade body, named Nigeen Tourist Trade Association.These tourism players havesaved tourists from dangerous and life threatening situations or have returned cash and valuables to the tourists who had lost it during their travel to Kashmir.

Director Tourism, Kashmir, Dr. G N Itoo described these tourism players as the pride of the entire tourism fraternity. He said that the biggest branding of Kashmir tourism is the honesty and fair play exhibited by these tourism players.

The Director Tourism said that Kashmir is well-known globally for its hospitality and warm nature of its people. He urged all tourism stakeholders to play their roles in maintaining these traits.

In his address, Chairman, NTTA, Haji Manzoor Ahmad Wangnoo said that the felicitation ceremony would reinforce the concepts of fair play and honesty in tourism.

The felicitations included a shawl, memento and a certificate of honor. Officers of the Tourism Department and representatives of various tour travel operators and officers of the Tourism Department were present at the occasion.
