Fred. Olsen Cruise Lines has revealed four exciting new voyages set to embark in 2025. These cruises offer diverse destinations, including Costa Rica, the Dominican Republic, Norway, and beyond.
Setting sail from Southampton, the smaller ship Balmoral presents four distinct itineraries tailored to showcase prime destinations at optimal times. Among these journeys is the captivating 45-night Grand Voyage, traversing the Caribbean and Central America. This expedition promises an immersive experience, from savoring Colombian coffee to indulging in Jamaican jerk chicken, and exploring tropical paradises like Tortola. Guests will have the chance to encounter native wildlife such as sloths, raccoons, and capuchin monkeys in the lush landscapes of Costa Rica.
For those captivated by the allure of northern Norway, the ‘In Search of the Northern Lights’ expedition departs on January 18th for a 15-night odyssey. With the expertise of the Go Stargazing team, travelers will chase the elusive Aurora Borealis while embracing the maritime traditions of the Arctic Circle.
Seeking warmth in the midst of winter? The ‘Winter Warmth in the Canary Islands’ cruise, departing on February 2nd, offers a sun-soaked escape. Explore volcanic terrains, indulge in local delicacies like pasteis de nata, and wander through the enchanting botanical gardens of Madeira.
Lastly, the ‘Springtime Norwegian Fjords’ journey invites guests to marvel at the majestic beauty of Norway’s Sognefjord, one of the country’s longest and deepest fjords. Embrace outdoor adventures such as kayaking and hiking amidst lush forests, all aboard the scenic Balmoral.
Martin Lister, Head of Itinerary Product Development at Fred. Olsen Cruise Lines, said:
“These four new itineraries have been carefully hand-crafted by our team of Journey Planners. The springtime cruise in Norway has been timed to showcase the very best of the fjords and mountain scenery, while North Norway will give guests the ideal opportunity to witness the Northern Lights – with 2025 being one of the best years to observe the natural phenomenon.
“Guests will also be able to embrace the local way of life in each of the destinations they are visiting and seek out native wildlife.
“Whether guests are sailing for the first or tenth time, there really is a huge variety of cruises to suit everyone’s desires.”
Guests booking selected sailings before April 30th can benefit from either up to £300 in onboard credit or complimentary door-to-door transfers for distances of up to 200 miles within the UK mainland.
