SusHi Tech Tokyo 2024, an assembly of Tokyo’s innovation pioneers sharing their solutions for urban growth and sustainability, is set to kick off this spring. To build anticipation for this event, which advocates Sustainable High City Tech Tokyo (SusHi Tech Tokyo) and the establishment of sustainable new value, the Tokyo Metropolitan Government (TMG) is delighted to announce the initiation of the “Virtual Edo-Tokyo Project.” Leveraging the metaverse, this project aims to showcase the marvels of Tokyo to a global audience.
Unveiled 100 days ahead of SusHi Tech Tokyo 2024, The Virtual Edo-Tokyo Project was launched on Thursday, January 18. The launch featured Kyary Pamyu Pamyu and MATSUMURA Sayuri, presenting the metaverse space adorned with Tokyo’s attractions, followed by a virtual address from Governor Koike through her metaverse avatar.

In preparation for the upcoming SusHi Tech Tokyo 2024 event in April and May, advance reports highlighting the event’s features and past accomplishments will be disseminated.
The rich culture and myriad attractions of Edo-Tokyo will be showcased in the content, including a virtual stroll around Edo’s central symbol, Edo Castle.
Visitors of all ages can engage in activities such as work experience simulations.
