The pass will save tourists time they have to spend standing in queue for purchasing the usual ticket. It’s transferable as well, West Bengal Tourism Minister Babul Supriyo said, adding that if there’s a good response after launch, an attempt may be made to facilitate people in entering the venues after QR scanning separately, instead of them having wait in usual ques to enter.

The integrated tourist pass at present is still in the marking and once it is ready, it will be made available online (mobile application based service) and also over the counter at designated venues in the museums and other tourist hotspots.

To make the experience more convenient and less confusing, various attractions will be clubbed together. Every zone will have its own set of attractions clubbed together.

With this, exploring the City of Joy made much easier and this new Integrated Tourist Pass will not only save time but will improve tourism in the city as people will be able to move seamlessly from one attractions to another.
