Bristol Airport is gearing up for its most bustling Easter season yet, with more than 420,000 travelers expected to pass through its gates between March 23 and April 7.

Easter Sunday, March 31, is set to be one of the peak travel days, with around 30,000 passengers anticipated.

The preferred destinations this Easter are mainly sunny spots and urban getaways. Leading the list for sun seekers are Malaga, Alicante, Faro, and Tenerife, while those looking for a city adventure are favoring Dublin, Edinburgh, Amsterdam, and Geneva.

To ensure a smooth journey during the heightened activity of the Easter holidays, travelers are encouraged to arrive at the airport for check-in at least two hours before their flight’s departure.

Bristol Airport also advises passengers to streamline their security screening process by preparing in advance. This entails having your boarding pass ready, removing laptops and large electronics, using separate bags for liquids, emptying pockets into the trays, and removing jackets or coats.

For those bringing Easter chocolate treats, it’s recommended to pack them in your carry-on luggage and ensure they’re easily accessible, as they may need to be inspected.
