On October 30, easyJet, Europe’s largest airline, won the coveted title of Best Short-Haul Airline at the Business Travel Awards Europe, reinforcing the company’s dedication to excellence in business travel. The airline’s distinct combination of a large route network connecting Europe’s major airports, low-cost rates, and courteous service all contributed to its victory.

easyJet reached new heights in 2022, transporting over 69 million passengers, 9.5 million of whom were on business. The airline operates a fleet of over 300 planes and serves approximately 1000 flights to 150 airports in 35 countries, putting over 300 million Europeans within an hour’s drive of an easyJet airport.

easyJet operates on local contracts in eight European countries as a good corporate citizen, conforming to national laws and recognizing trade unions. Since 2012, the airline has raised approximately £16 million for disadvantaged children through its long-standing corporate collaboration with UNICEF.

easyJet, which is dedicated to environmental sustainability, will join the UN-backed Race to Zero in November 2021 and will present a path to achieve net-zero carbon emissions by 2050. The airline focuses on new technology, fleet renewal, operational efficiencies, airspace modernization, sustainable aviation fuel, and carbon removal technologies in collaboration with partners such as Airbus, Rolls-Royce, GKN Aerospace, and Cranfield Aerospace Solutions.

With over 25 years of revolutionary impact on the aviation industry, easyJet leads in digital, online, engineering, and operational innovation. The airline’s commitment to lowering carbon emissions per passenger per kilometer is clear, with a one-third decrease achieved since 2000 through fleet renewal and operational efficiency.

easyJet’s Head of Business Development, James Marchant, underlined the airline’s dedication and commitment to attaining net-zero carbon emissions, highlighting the significance of delivering the best value and convenience for business passengers throughout Europe. This achievement cements easyJet’s position as a top choice for people seeking excellence in air travel.
