Egypt PM talks with investors to increase hotel rooms

On Tuesday, the Prime Minister of Egypt meets with a group of tourism investors to talk about the tactics to apply to increase the number of hotel rooms in the country. At the cabinet headquarters in New Alamein, this meeting was arranged.


Madbouly explained that the government is all set to support the tourism. It’s working to offer the much needed competence that would help to draw greater number of tourists to Egypt. Also, he said that from the investors, the government is quite open to explore fresh new ideas as well as proposals.


The investors presented many lucrative ideas for increasing the number of hotel rooms during the meeting, like, changing the government buildings into hotel rooms that remained empty for years, collaborating with the government to set up hotels on the lands that are state-owned, and investing in the Red Sea region tourism.


Also, the investors in the meeting mentioned about the disputes that the tourism is facing like the need for more funds and the urgency to unite fees inflicted by the agencies of the government.


Madbouly stated that the government is all prepared to handle these challenges and that it’s all set to make a more favorable investment climate for the industry.
